I started this blog as a labour of love after the birth of my daughter. I’d been a chef, an eco-tourism business owner, a food blogger and a business writer for years, but suddenly I realised that I was responsible for this beautiful little person – the best person I’ve ever met – and I needed to do something to help make the world a better place for her.
Over the last 3 1/2 years we’ve become a pretty green family. We eat organic food (something we’ve always done), we use cloth diapers/nappies when we can, we have removed the toxins from our cleaning and toiletries cupboards and have improved our health and wellbeing to no end with the introduction of Young Living essential oils to our home. We are on our journey to becoming as much of a zero waste home as we can, we make lots of our own DIY personal care and cleaning products and in general we try to live as harmlessly as possible.
I’m not saying we are at the pinnacle of green living. There are other blogs who have achieved some level of perfection. We’re not one of those, but by sharing what we can here in what we’ve learned and how we’ve made our lives a bit kinder to the earth, I hope that you can start this step by step journey too! One change at a time is all it takes.

Reviews & Sponsored Posts
Most of the products that are featured on this blog have been bought with my own money, however I do occasionally receive products from brands for review purposes. This blog is my labour of love and not principally a money making venture, so basically…I’m here to say what I think.
Product or service must relate to eco/green living & travel, zero waste lifestyle, natural fashion/beauty or nutrition/wellness.
What I can offer from Our Little Organic Life is high quality professional copy, a clear brand and purpose as well as a genuine, loyal readership. I do also continue to promote my posts for a long time, as I generally write them to stand the test of time, so there is no specific limit on my social media shares.
Have just come across this and read everything….who knew? Well obviously not me….love it 🙂

Hi,
How are you? I hope that the weather with you is good and you’re having a great summer
I work for Square Meal, a restaurant guide based in London. I’ve just been looking at your blog and really loved it – I’m also a keen baker and eater of cakes and treats!
I see that you do some great restaurant review blog posts and wondered if you’d be interested in linking them to Square Meal.co.uk?
If you would like to know more, please do email me at eleanor@squaremeal.co.uk. I do hope that you are interested and look forward to hearing from you.
With best wishes

Sounds like my kinda blog! I try to be as green and environmentally friendly, which can get tough in this economy but I grow as much veg as I can in my small garden and throw as little away, recycling anything I can get my hands on. It’s nice to hear you’re so committed to the cause too! 🙂

Thanks very much Amy; nice to hear from another green-minded blogger. I’m so impressed you have your own veg garden. That’s my next step in my little London back garden. We’ve worked on planting some fruit trees and bushes this year and next year we’ll look at vegetables.

So I was just checking to see what Google comes up with these days when searching Bart ‘n’ Lainy’s and I found your lovely post from last Summer when we were just getting started at the BBC Good Food Show. Since then we’ve started selling frozen Canadian Wild Blueberries by mail order which is a bit of an adventure! Any, just wanted to say thanks for putting a big smile on my face this morning!

How wonderful that you’ve moved on to frozen blueberries. Where are they from…I think you said New Brunswick before? I must order some soon for a lovely blueberry crumble (or crisp as we call them in Canada!).
